Peace in Detachment

  1. I feel myself relaxing as I breathe deeply into every cell of my body.

  2. I allow myself to release all stress, anxiety and worry into the light and love of the Divine Spirit.

  3. When I let go of my fears and allow myself to feel that I am a child resting in the arms of my mother-father God, I am able to feel protected, safe and secure.

  4. When I find myself trying too hard, I can realize that ultimately everything belongs to God. It is up to Her/Him to take care of everything and everyone. This thought allows me to relax.

  5. Everything that I think is mine really belongs to God. I let go of things and people and allow the eternal flow of the Divine Spirit to bring everything into order and balance without my needing to control.

  6. When I give up my worries and fears about the outcome of my strivings, I find that I am always being taken care of, protected and loved in the most wonderful ways!

  7. I do my best and leave the rest to heaven.

  8. When I hold too tight and expect people and circumstances to turn out the way I want them too, I leave myself open to disappointment and suffering. The purpose of life is to love without attachment, because attachments bring misery. Be an observer and be free.

  9. When I find myself emotionally attached to things and people, I can turn that attachment toward the Divine Spirit, who will lift me up like a "feather on the breath of God" and carry me away from all entanglements.

  10. What keeps us away from the Divine Spirit is our belief that we are separate from God. All this is God! With our minds and hearts turned toward God, we are reborn in Spirit and enter the kingdom of heaven right here on this earth!
