What is peace

  • Love brings peace

  • expansion; comes by accepting ones' self just as he or she is and every moment, just as it is, staying focused inside one's heart or center

Blocks to Peace

  • negativity; ego-based behavior; "I & Mine" separation

  • previous programming of mind--old habits

  • judgment & guilt

  • poor environment (not conducive to staying focused in the heart)

Aids to Removing Blocks to Peace

  • positive affirmations

  • meditation--one-pointedness

  • associate with loving people; stay away from negative people

  • relax and let go; let go of past limitations and programming

  • don't be afraid to try new things every day; let the mind explore new avenues

  • don't worry about what other people think

  • develop understanding & compassion for all beings

  • deep breathing releases stagnation

  • chanting or toning

  • spend time in nature

  • creative writing with left or non-dominant hand

  • stay focused in love with each precious moment as it comes

  • when wallowing in self-pity, go outside on a clear night & gaze at the stars--it will always make us aware of how small we are & how big God is

  • stay grounded--connection to Mother Earth is important

  • being a witness to our own actions helps to keep us from becoming too involved in our ego-selves

  • breathe love into the heart center & exhale all negativity

How

  • give yourself some time for earnest communion with God every day--plug in

  • observe nature; she can teach us how to stay close to God

  • know that every moment is a blessing!

  • lay down on the grass; feel the blessings of Mother Earth
